‘Untitled D.G.’ by Julian Khol
Julian says about his work: ‘For years my artistic research has been focused on the search for the essence of light, rhythm, dynamics and spatial construction. What is then, the essence of things, when everything that is obtrusive and loud, the chaos and bustle that surrounds us, the eternal drowning, finally disappears? If you follow things through to their core? How can situations and perceived moments be generated, or even translated into pictorial language? The moment where everything becomes clear, calm and centered. When you are completely with yourself and yet, still out there. Michelle speaks in her work of the universe, and the interconnectedness of all things. I find there an underlying clarity in many of my own ideas as well.’ Julian lives and works in Cologne, Germany. www.juliankhol.com
