‘Disgruntled’ by Sara Stites
Sara says about her work: ‘Using a drawing from my notebook, I placed color & a physical object (rubber band) on it that relate to & interpret Wiebke Bartsch’s drawing.
I have been using my work in painting & drawing with objects from my studio in front of them to make photographs for the last few years.
I celebrate the studio through the use of detritus, whatever is at hand, waiting to be repurposed in the photograph. The imagery becomes a melding of abstraction and representation, always considering gravity, air and light.’
Sara lives and works in Miami, FL
